How to Pack Like a Pro

Space-Saving Tips for Every Trip

Packing is one of the biggest pain points for travelers, and it’s something I help with often—especially when you're trying to stick to carry-on only or pack for a multi-stop trip.

Here are my favorite space-saving strategies:

Start with a Capsule Wardrobe:
Stick to a color palette (neutrals + one accent color) so everything mixes and matches. For example: navy, white, gray + sage green. You can pack fewer pieces but still have lots of outfits.

Use Packing Cubes or Compression Bags:
These keep your bag organized and maximize space. I love compression cubes for bulky items like sweaters or jackets.

Limit Shoes to 2–3 Pairs:
Choose shoes that work for multiple activities—like a stylish sneaker for walking and a sandal that works for dressy and casual dinners.

Follow the TSA 3-1-1 Rule:
Liquids must be 3.4 ounces or less, in one quart-sized clear bag. I’ll help you find travel-size items or hotel properties that provide quality toiletries. Investing in pre-measured reusable toiletry containers is also a major help for those frequent travelers.

Travel Advisor Tip: I provide customized packing lists for each trip, tailored to the weather, destination, and your activities. One of the perks of booking with a pro!
