Location
Disneyland Resort is located in Anaheim, California, about 30 minutes south of Los Angeles and is easily accessible by car, public transport, or through nearby airports (John Wayne, LAX, or Long Beach Airport)
Size
Disneyland Resort is much smaller compared to Walt Disney World. The entire resort covers about 500 acres—only a fraction of Walt Disney World’s size. Despite its smaller size, Disneyland packs a lot of magic into every square inch.
Parks
Disneyland Resort consists of two theme parks:
Disneyland Park – The original Disney park, opened in 1955, featuring classic attractions like Sleeping Beauty Castle, Space Mountain, and the Haunted Mansion. It also boasts new additions like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Pixar Pier.
Disney California Adventure Park – This park celebrates the culture, history, and beauty of California. Highlights include Cars Land, Pixar Pier, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!, and the Incredicoaster.
Hotels
Disneyland Resort has three on-property hotels:
Disneyland Hotel – The classic hotel with a mix of modern and nostalgic Disney charm.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa – A luxurious, craftsman-style resort that offers exclusive access to Disney California Adventure.
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel – A family-friendly hotel with a beachside theme, offering beautiful views of the park and pools.
In addition to the on-site hotels, there are several nearby off-property hotels that cater to all budgets
